I hope all of you are well and are enjoying the beautiful spring.
I want to bring you up to date what is happening in the Washington Water Color Association.
Our Spring show is at the Maplewood Art Gallery; 9707 Old Georgetown Rd. Rockville; from May 2 to July 24. The opening reception was May 2nd and it went very well. There was a very good turnout of works to be exhibited. " Thank You" Bonita for all your hard work. Make plans to see it while it is exhibited. There is plenty of parking.
The Baltimore Watercolor Show is being held at Strathmore Hall, Rockville. The WWCA award of $200 went to Jeanne McGuire for her painting "Green Gloves." Congratulations Jeanne!
Our Spring Luncheon will be held at Alfio"s Restaurant; 4515 Willard Ave, Chevy Chase, MD, ; on Saturday June 19 at 12:00 pm. You will be able to place your luncheon order at the restaurant on the day of the luncheon. Please RSVP to B. Weis.
Millie Shott has created a series of workshops . One will be a bookmaking workshop with Kristin Helberg on May 20th, $60. The other will be a 2 day workshop with Alfredo Ratinoff on Mosaic Tile, Saturday June 26th and Sunday June 27; $120.
Here are a couple items to keep in mind as future exhibits:
In September we are going to have our annual exhibit at the Women's National Democratic Club of DC.
In November-December we will have an exhibit at the National Press Club in Washington DC. There will be future information on both exhibits.
