PRESIDENT'S LETTER
Hello Painters, Spring is on its way!
A few more white days are sure to come, but only a dusting!
With a positive outlook we at WWCA have a number of decisions that have to be made. This will be a year of change. I will be stepping down as president this spring. I have been the president for the last 5 years. It has been a exciting and fulfilling experience. I have enjoyed working with everyone and look forward to continuing to participate in WWCA events. We will therefore need a new president.
In addition to the presidency there are several positions on the board that also need to be filled.

This is a volunteer organization. Your help is needed for it to run as a smooth operation. I hope you will consider taking on one of these positions. Make sure you say what position you are interested in and your name will be placed on the ballot. We need this information by March 15th, 2011.

De-Installation: June 26 10:00 AM - Noon
First, Second, and Third Place and 2 Honorable Mentioins will be awarded.

Organizational needs: One member to help hang from noon - 3 PM Friday April 29; One member to type up the numbers, artist name, price original work, price for giclee; One member to be responsible for de-installation physical help June 26 10 - noon; Two members to keep track of sign outs on June 26. Also Two members for reception set up and take down. Set up during artist walk about, probably at noon or 12:30 after the walk about and the artists introductions and a few presentations in the reception room.

Greetings from the California Watercolor Association! We are very pleased to announce our 42nd National Exhibition Water+Color to be held from September 8 through October 9, 2011, at the Marin Art and Garden Center. The Awards Ceremony and Artists' Reception will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2011, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. We anticipate more than $15,000 in cash and merchandise awards.
We cordially invite all of your members to enter the competition by using the on-line entry form on the California Watercolor Association’s website, www.californiawatercolor.org. A copy of the attached prospectus is also available on our website OR send a SASE to: Prospectus CWA 42nd, 1740 Arlington Blvd, El Cerrito, CA 94530. Online entries only. All entries must be submitted by April 23 to be considered.
