Judy Wengrovitz
Judy Wengrovitz graduated from Hunter College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a major in art education.  Inspired by her teacher, Dong Kingman with whom she studied for several years, Judy specialized in realistic watercolor painting, although she enjoys working in all other media and styles.    
     Mrs. Wengrovitz has won numerous awards and her paintings have been accepted into regional and national juried shows including those of the National Watercolor Society, Virginia Watercolor Society, Southern Watercolor Society and the National Society of Painters in Casein and Acrylic.  She has taught art classes to both children and adults and has been a guest lecturer at various schools and universities.  She has conducted workshops throughout the country and has demonstrated for art groups including service as a juror.  Her paintings have recently been included in "Artist" magazine (Sept.1998),
" International Artist" magazine (April-May 2000), "Elan" magazine (May 2003) and in the books "Best of Watercolor (Painting Texture)"  (see cover design), "The Best of Watercolor Places" and "The Collected Best of Watercolor" by Sara Doherty.  She also did the cover art for The Vital Signs of Poetry Project published for The Children’s Inn, NH, in Rockville, MD, in April 2000.
     Mrs. Wengrovitz has had many one artists shows and her paintings are in corporate, private and public collections including Texaco, IBM and the National Institutes of Health.  She is past President of Springfield Art Guild, Va., Watercolor Society, Potomac Valley Watercolorists and the Alexandria Branch of the National League of American Penwomen.  She is listed in Who’s Who in American Art and in Who’s Who in the South and Southwest.
