Concetta C. Scott is an artist who finds her inspiration in the abstract geometry inherent in subjects, both natural and man-made.  She seeks to engage the viewer through the designing and composition of the subject.  The multi-layering of color achieves the richness of color in the paintings.

Concetta is a graduate of Morre College of Art and Design in Philadelphia; she pursued a successful career in Advertising Design and Illustration in Philadelphia and Washington,D.C.
She served as the Art Director for all the Woodward & Lothrop Department Stores for several years before resigning to raise a family.  Concetta resumed studies in fine arts and fiber arts, studying with nationally known artists and teaching, in additional to illustrating two children's books.

Her works in Advertising Design, Fiber Arts and Painting have been in many regional and national juried shows with awards.  She was awarded a grant to paint in Brittany, France; the city of Dinan owns one of her paintings.  Others are in private and corporate collections here and abroad.  The painting “Indian Corn” was selected for the North Light Art Book, Splash  6, Magic of Texture.  Her floral paints were featured in Elan magazine, October 200 issue.  She is in who's Who in America 2003- 04- 05 and Who's Who in America Art 2006.
