As I go through each day certain scenes and subjects call out - asking to be painted. The colors and shapes that compose the painting and are tempered by my emotional response to the subject. What I leave out when I paint is just as important as the image on the paper. I try to simplify and strengthen my work, allowing room for the viewer to be involved and intrigued by what they see.
Working primarily in transparent water color, my paintings are often drawn from my experiences and travels as well as from nature.
